On Wednesday, September 18, Anaheim First hosted the District 4 Town Hall at the Ponderosa Family Resource Center. Nearly 100 residents and community volunteers attended to share their neighborhood priorities. Anaheim Mayor Harry Sidhu opened the program and thanked residents for getting involved and lending their voice to the Anaheim Community Assessment. Following an overview of the assessment process, facilitated by the consultant team PlaceWorks and Arellano Associates, residents then engaged in breakout sessions to discuss and prioritize new city funding for significant neighborhood investments.

Another round of district based town halls will be held before the Anaheim Community Assessment is finalized and submitted to the City Council in early 2020. Please get involved by attending a district town hall and filling out the online survey at www.AnaheimFirst.org – this program, proposed by Mayor Harry Sidhu and approved by the City Council, is led by Anaheim residents, for Anaheim residents. Thank you to all of the residents and volunteers who turned out last Wednesday night to make the District 4 Town Hall such a big success!
